About this app
Backtimed is an Android app presented under the Rook & Button brand. This policy describes version 0.1.0-preview, package com.rookandbutton.backtimed. It has no user-account service or advertisements.
The app does not send your saved records, device identifiers, or usage information to developer-operated servers. It contains no advertising or analytics integration.
Data used on your device
Plan names, arrival dates/times and time zones, ordered preparation steps and durations, travel minutes, early-arrival buffers, archived plans, notes, drafts, appearance preferences, and one previous save. The app calculates a schedule backward from manually entered arrival and duration values. It does not access live traffic, location, calendar databases, or a background alarm service.
Permissions and system features
No Android runtime permissions are requested. File access is limited to selections or shares you initiate through Android.
Sharing and copies you choose
You can export readable JSON to a chosen Android document provider, copy text to the clipboard, or open a calendar-entry editor with the schedule. The calendar entry is a one-time copy reviewed by the user; edits do not synchronize. Receiving apps, camera apps, browsers, and document providers operate under their own policies. A provider you select may synchronize files outside your device. This app does not control those independent copies.
Storage and security
App records are held in Android app-private storage. Automatic Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled. Protect your device with a secure screen lock and keep exported files in a location you trust. Ordinary backup files are not an encrypted vault.
Retention and deletion
Remove or archive plans with the app controls; archived plans remain until deleted. Undo retains one prior saved state until the next change. Clear Android app storage or uninstall to remove local plans, drafts, preferences, and undo. Exported files, copied text, and external calendar entries remain separate.
Additional details
No notification or exact-alarm permission is requested. Backtimed does not promise to alert the user at a start or departure time.
Purchases and support outside the app
If this app is offered as a paid download, Google Play handles the store transaction under Google’s policies. The app does not receive payment-card details. Messages you choose to send to our support or privacy addresses are handled separately from automatic in-app data collection. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, or unnecessary private documents in a support request.

If you choose to email us, the studio and its email provider receive the address, message, and attachments you send. Correspondence is used to respond and keep relevant support or business records, subject to applicable retention obligations. You may request deletion of correspondence through the privacy address. We cannot retrieve or remotely erase records kept only on your device; use the deletion controls described above.
Changes
We will update this policy and its date if the app’s data practices change.
