About this app
NextMend is an Android app presented under the Rook & Button brand. This policy describes version 0.1.0-preview, package com.rookandbutton.nextmend. It has no user-account service or advertisements.
The app does not send your saved records, device identifiers, or usage information to developer-operated servers. It contains no advertising or analytics integration.
Data used on your device
Maintenance task names, dates, repeat intervals, paused/completed state, entered notes and costs, completion history, draft data, appearance preferences, and one previous save for undo. The app displays tasks and work history and calculates the next repeat date from a recorded completion. Dates, intervals, costs, and service decisions are entered by the user.
Permissions and system features
No Android runtime permissions are requested. File access is limited to selections or shares you initiate through Android.
Sharing and copies you choose
Export/restore uses Android’s system document picker. Backups are unencrypted JSON. A calendar action hands selected text and dates to a calendar-entry editor for the user to review; it is not synchronization or automatic messaging. Receiving apps, camera apps, browsers, and document providers operate under their own policies. A provider you select may synchronize files outside your device. This app does not control those independent copies.
Storage and security
App records are held in Android app-private storage. Automatic Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled. Protect your device with a secure screen lock and keep exported files in a location you trust. Ordinary backup files are not an encrypted vault.
Retention and deletion
Delete records using the app controls. One-step undo retains the previous data snapshot, so a deleted record may remain recoverable until another saved change. Clear Android app storage or uninstall to remove all private records, drafts, and undo data. External backups and calendar copies must be removed separately.
Additional details
The app does not request calendar-database or notification permission. A calendar provider can synchronize a copied entry independently under its own policy.
Purchases and support outside the app
If this app is offered as a paid download, Google Play handles the store transaction under Google’s policies. The app does not receive payment-card details. Messages you choose to send to our support or privacy addresses are handled separately from automatic in-app data collection. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, or unnecessary private documents in a support request.

If you choose to email us, the studio and its email provider receive the address, message, and attachments you send. Correspondence is used to respond and keep relevant support or business records, subject to applicable retention obligations. You may request deletion of correspondence through the privacy address. We cannot retrieve or remotely erase records kept only on your device; use the deletion controls described above.

We will update this policy and its date if the app’s data practices change.
